Where to Buy a Good Education in Economics
You should only consider top ten universities, in the field of economics. For example, you might consider Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, and the London School of Economics. You should not consider your local state school, an online school, or a community college. If you can't get into a top school, major in something else. For example, if you are going to a state school, then get a double major in engineering and economics. That will give you a chance. It is more work, but will save you a lot of frustration down the road.
Finally, make sure and get good work experience. Don't expect to get paid. The main point is to get in with someone that really knows the field well and is doing well. That will give you a huge leg up in the path you are looking for. Real life experience in the economic consulting would be a good thing to do. Don't focus on the money. Focus on being good at what you do and enjoying it. If you get good enough to really predict future trends you will make plenty of money.
